Snakes are not usually poisonous — they are VENEMOUS. There is a different in describing the venom to poison. Although venom may be poisonous to your system, most snakes are not actually themselves poisonous. Now, certain frogs are poisonous — like they have a poisonous coating on their skin. But that stuff is poison, not venom. It gets very complicated.
